Pastor Dennis Wiley, of Covenant Baptist Church in Washington, D.C. said it best when he said, "You can not just read a bible and think that somehow you have now mastered the word of God."
Yvonne Moore was suing for her 37 years of contributions 2 the church, a total she stated amounted 2 $250,000 dollars. Eventually, she dropped the lawsuit but vowed never 2 step foot back in Covenant Baptist Church again. In Ms. Moore's interview, she stated that she has a gay friend. But how can she call that gay individual her friend, if she doesn't believe that her 'friend' she have the same rights as she? What kind of friend is that?
In my opinion, Ms. Moore should do research on LGBT history and the history of the bible. Maybe then she'll have a clear understanding of why the pastors did what they did. Calling same-sex marriage disgusting, is the ignorance that is poisoning our society.
