Should Gay Military Men & Women Just Say 'F' It?

When a judge's ruling came in that gays could serve openly in the military, there seemed 2 be a sigh of relief with premature congratulations being spewed about.

The Pentagon warned gay troops that in this "legally uncertain environment," coming out now could have "adverse consequences for themselves or others." The warning came a day after the Obama administration asked a federal judge in California 2 stay her ruling overturning the Clinton-era "don't ask, don't tell" policy while the government prepares an appeal.

This constant back and forth of red light green light is driving me crazy. GREEN LIGHT, you're free 2 be who you are! RED LIGHT, sike just kidding we took your civil rights away again! What the hell! Honestly speaking, I get it that gay military officers value their careers deeply, and that 4 some it's what they feel they were born 2 do. But isn't it about time 4 all gay military officers 2 take a stand 4 what's right and say 'F' it?

There will be 'adverse consequences' should you overstep your boundaries. Really? I thought all military officers were adults? It's obvious they're not all equal but adults none the least. So what gives any 1 the right 2 tell you who you can and can not be? What's the worst that can happen? You get discharged? Okay, you'll be discharged with the hundreds of others that were discharged 4 being viciously outed. At least you'll be discharged with your head held high while taking a stand 4 yourself and others who will come after you. The army can't afford 2 lose military men and women not with 2 wars going on. Looks like 2 me now is the best time if ever 2 take a stand. Now I'm not saying that I want our country 2 be in jeopardy, but I do believe that fair is fair and sometimes you have 2 make extreme gestures in order 2 be heard.

I mean seriously how does this sound? Gay military men and women (self-less and gracious men and women) are on the front line fighting 2 protect and serve people who would rather watch them suffer then lend a helping hand 2 soothe their wounds. They're over in third world countries fighting 4 our freedom and supposedly theirs, only 2 come back home and still feel like they're living in a third world country! It just doesn't add up 2 me. The configurations are all wrong.

If I were a lesbian military officer, the U.S. army would be a thing of the past. When asked a gay military question at the BET Youth Summit yesterday,President Obama stated that "we are all God's children in his eyes". Shouldn't all God's children be equal?
